Pacific Rim, can you handle me?
I’ve been talking about doing something crazy like going around the world, volunteering in Cameroon, or joining the Peace Corps for a while now, and I’ve finally decided on what to do next. Even though the weather in VA has become quite pleasant, I’m sure that winter is far from over. It’s time for me to blow this popsicle stand in search for warm weather. I’m not talking CA weather either. I’m talking SUMMER.
With my two month excursion beginning tomorrow, I’ve spent the last week catching up with my friends and family around the East Coast. I went to Pittsburgh to see the Bodies Exhibit, to Butler to submit my grandfather’s taxes, and to NYC to eat and chill with Robb and Vanessa, and to see shows with Brian. Now, I’m a mess, packing last minute items, confirming visa requirements, etc.. Thankfully, the trip starts in Los Angeles, so I still have a couple more days to get things done.
I’m taking my computer with me and hope to keep you updated, but that depends on my access to power and the Internet. I’m sure that some countries are easier than others, and I have no idea what to expect.
Here is my itinerary, but for a small fee, it is all subject to change. J
2/07 - 2/12 Los Angeles
2/13 - 2/21 Tahiti, Mo’orea, and maybe Bora Bora
2/22 - 2/25 New Zealand
2/26 - 3/09 Australia
3/10 - 3/13 Bali
3/14 - 3/15 Singapore
3/16 - 3/17 Malaysia
3/18 - 3/22 Thailand
3/23 - 3/30 Hong Kong
3/31 - 4/08 Los Angeles
I’ll try to keep everyone posted, but if you don’t hear from me, don’t assume I’ve been sold into slave labor or a prostitution ring. Something tells me that no news is good news
