Summer 2005 Update

Long time, no news… In this case, no news is good news. I know “I’ve been busy” is a poor excuse for not staying in touch, but instead I’ve been doing the real thing. What’s that mean? I’ve been seeing people instead of writing to them!

It all started with a drive to Michigan to watch Robin Yeasting turn into Robin Fulton. Along with that, I had a chance to hang out with my grandfather in Butler, PA. While there I had a chance to see Scott Snyder after about 15 years and meet his fabulous wife Kathy.

Not long after that, I had a flashback Holy Cow weekend seeing Veena at Dulles for about 40 minutes before she flew back to San Diego and having Yuri in VA for a whole 20 hours! Of course, she flew out for Mark & Heather Skosich’s wedding. Later that night, Andre cooked for Justin, Michaela and I. Yummy! It’s funny how things work out sometimes. I’d spent the weekend talking about the good old times and missed them terribly when it was all over, but I reminded myself that any time can be a good old time if I let it. So, although it was nice to catch up with so many people, I look forward to making even more memories with them in the future.

Next, Andre and I took our friends Kenneth and Neena to NYC to see Brian’s latest show “Disconnect.” A very thought provoking show indeed. While Andre headed back to Hoboken with them, I stayed with Brian and spent the next day walking and paddling Central Park. Until then, I’d only seen it from the street. I’m sure that Brian will agree, walking the entire length is a workout, especially with new shoes!

More than anything, it’s summertime! The weather was a little too humid for a week and a half, but it’s back to normal now and GREAT! Andre and I are trying to enjoy it as much as possible. If any of you are in the neighborhood, give me a call. You’re more than welcome to stay, and I’m always up for eating.

Have a great summer!
