New Position?
Did I mention that winter isn’t all it’s cracked up to be? I’m actually kind of tired of it. It seemed as though we had a month of cold and were good to go, but we get more and more snow. At least it warms up and melts a bit in between. I’ve loaded some photos so that you feel sorry for me. http://community.webshots.com/user/kinchm
It finally happened; I have a new position. OK, I’m doing the same thing, but I’m changing districts. Instead of finding me in Charlotte, NC, I’ll be in Greensboro, NC or Roanoke, VA. Granted, it’s only about 2 hours closer to home, but I’ll have a chance to see more of the country than I’d have had if I’d have come directly into the office. Anyway, my cell phone and e-mail stay the same.
What else is new for me? Well, Andre is in Los Angeles right now. He left an empty apartment this morning, so it looks like I’ve got him right where I want him. How does he feel about being a homeless Alien? Well, he’s not. He’s worked out a deal with one of his friends to stay with him when needed. It’s a whole lot cheaper that way than keeping an apartment.
Oh yeah, many of you don’t know that we got engaged just before the holidays… Sorry. We didn’t make a big deal of it. Before you ask, we have no date and likely won’t. I can tell you that we won’t get married until I meet his mom, and the two aren’t talking right now. I think they’ll make up by summer though, so we’ll plan a 2 week trip through Europe then. Maybe we’ll stop by and see Robin…
Speaking of Holy Cows, Andre and I had dinner with Mark Skosich. He’s got some news, but I’ll let him tell you. If you really want to know, Heather’s super cool. J AND, I’m hoping to visit Asit in China in April. Can you believe that he’s already fluent? YIKES! And, I suppose I should give Aravind credit for turning me onto the BLOG. If it weren’t for him, I’d still be sending word documents. High tech days we’re in…
